Saturday Reading Clubs by Tokiphon
Phonics, imagination, and invention meet every Saturday morning.
Each Saturday, Tokiphon brings reading to life across the United States through our one-hour Saturday Reading Clubs. Every child begins with a friendly placement assessment so we can match them to the right phonics level. From there, they learn the exact sounds, patterns, and decoding skills they need most, in small groups designed for growth and confidence.
Our sessions mix research-based phonics instruction with hands-on creativity. Children build, draw, and experiment while they read, connecting sounds and meaning through art, storytelling, and movement. Learning becomes something they can touch, shape, and proudly share.
At the heart of each club are the Gearlings, curious plush friends who begin in a cozy junkyard world and journey into a paperland made of children’s own handmade creations. Together, students read Gearlings stories, explore comprehension through games, and craft projects that link reading to imagination.
Tokiphon’s approach blends the precision of linguistic research with the spark of storytelling. It is structured enough for real progress and playful enough to keep every child wide-eyed with wonder.
